Kumbha sankranti pooja

The meaning of 'san' is plenty and 'kranti' denotes radical change. Kumbha means a pitcher – this jar that is our body. It has to be filled with nectar or
immortality. The soul has to be released from being repeatedly trapped inside the body. Every 12 years the Kumbha Mela is held at Hardwar on the banks of
the Ganga, at Prayag at the confluence of three rivers, Ujjain on the banks of the Shipra, and at Nasik on the banks of the Godavari. It leads to mukti or liberation from rebirth and pain of this earthly existence. Rising above caste, class and gender all gather spontaneously coming from the
