Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated on the 15th day of Shukla Paksha in the
month of Chaitra to celebrate the birth of Lord (bhagawan) Hanuman. Lord
(bhagawan) Hanuman is taken into account to be the ardent follower of Lord
(Bhagawan) Rama is worshipped for his due devotion to Lord (Bhagawan) Rama.
Hanuman is the sign of vigor, power and trueness. Hanuman is considered for
being the avatar of Lord (Bhagawan) Shiva and was born to help Lord (Bhagawan)
Rama in destroying the bad Ravana. Through the Hanuman Jayanti, all the

How can one do Hanuman Jayanti Worship
Going to Hanuman temple (mandir) on the Hanuman Jayanti and offering prayers,
sweets, flowers, Puja and abhishek is considered to be the easy type of puja
that gets the Lord (Bhagawan) hanuman to impart his blessings to the devotees.
Over the dawn time, the statue or image of Hanuman is being washed with Ganga-Jal
water and the statue is then kept back in Puja Ghar. Then the statue is smeared
with Sindhoor. The agarbatti or diya is being lit in front of him and the sweets
and bananas are being offered as the bhog to ensure after the Puja it may be
distributed as Puja prasad among the devotees. In fact the preparations, Hanuman
Chalisa is recited and it can be recited any number of times based upon the
disciple. The Puja takes accomplished after the recitation of Human Aarti. Fasts
are being observed by the devotees on this day from sunrise to sunset.
