Diwali Pujan and Rituals

Diwali puja and rituals consists of religious ceremonies with five days pujan as a whole, in which main diwali pujan of ganesh-lakshmi is completed on the 3rd day. The festival actually runs for five days, starting with Dhanteras, Narak Chaturdasi- Choti diwali, Lakshmi Puja, Govardhan Puja, Bhai Duj although the most important celebrations occur on the 3rd day i.e. Lakshmi puja/Diwali. People celebrate each of these five days with true religious enthusiasm. The peculiarity of this festival is its harmony of five varied philosophies, with every day to a specific thought which will elate and enrich the individuals life.

• 1st day- Dhanteras puja
• 2nd day- Narak Chaturdashi puja
• 3rd day- Mahalakshmi puja
• 4th day- Gobardhan puja
• 5th day- Bhai Dooj puja
